I did not know Art, but I do know what it is like to have someone unexpected come into your life and love your mom and help share the burden — and be there no matter what happens. These people are true blessings and even if you couldn’t share Art’s advice, you shared beautifully the essence of what he meant to you. I am sorry for your loss.
Robin, I have wondered what happened? To Rosie, to Jerry, and yourself and Kim. This was a difficult read. You were such a young child that I don’t think you had any idea of your mothers demons. But I think Kim did growing up on Burgett Drive. God Bless your father, the Salesman that he was, I wonder what was the straw for him? Even growing up next door, we could hear shouting go in on in the house. We were told not to ask, not to inquire. But we knew she was unhappy, God Bless Art for putting up with he did. God Bless him for his introduction into your lives.
