Happy Holidays from the Hop-Tells!

One last post before we all mentally check out.

Three years ago, in the midst of a global pandemic, we created a fake family business. The Hop-Tell Corp was born out of me referring to Mary as “Janice: The Worst Coworker Ever” because I would emerge from sitting at my $45 Walmart desk (that’s crammed in the corner of our bedroom) to take a break and she would refuse to stop working. Sometimes she would look at me, but keep right on typing and not listening.

The idea of work personas snowballed and Henry became Bill from IT and Maxine became Maria, the marketing intern. We fell so in love with our characters that we made a Hop-Tell Corp holiday video instead of our usual holiday card.

So, I’m leaving you with this video gem as I take some time off this holiday season to rest, recuperate, and rejuvenate! I’ll be back the second week of January with an in-depth story about our alter egos, Jancie and Barbara! There will even be an audio companion piece with a rare appearance from Mary herself!
